w-rak-2The most typical Cancers are often described as: sensitive, modest, imaginative, homebodies, fun-loving, capricious, and frugal.

The constellation of Cancer is associated with the prime cause of organism life and symbolizes its growth potential. Representatives of this constellation possess strong protective and maternal instincts; they govern the gates between the visible and the invisible, through which souls must pass in physical embodiment.

Usually Cancer is somewhat shy, but when confident that they are among friends, they may deceive: seeking recognition and approval, and partly simply desiring to see others laughing and cheerful.

The seemingly paradoxical behavior – from social modesty to ostentation – is inherent in the various phases of the character of Cancer. When left to his own devices and natural inclinations, he can easily become a dreamer or a mystic. But when external conditions prompt him to act, he shows great perseverance in achieving his goal.

Cancer is thrifty and diligent and has a reputation for being a skilled trader who can take anything from any craft. Usually, he is a citizen and a patriot who values the traditions of his country, freedom, and justice and is ready to defend them if he feels they are threatened.

Among Cancerians, state criminals are rare. Usually, they are liberals and rarely extremists. An outstanding feature of his character is his love for home and family. Nothing irritates Cancer more than disharmony in his personal life.

If he feels that his partner does not love him or that other family members are neglecting him, he becomes gloomy and as a result, develops digestive disorders. He is susceptible to psychological influences and is attracted to the occult world. His interest extends to spiritualism and other forms of contact with supernatural forces.

Cancer needs to make sure that individuals or groups of people with whom he deals in this type of activity have the highest intentions and good character. Communicating with people with lower psychic abilities can be detrimental to him.

When choosing a profession, he should seek a job where his sensitive nature would be an asset rather than a hindrance. Because he is friendly, attractive, and popular, he may succeed in politics.

Another perfect job is advertising agencies, hotel management, trade, theater, restaurants, brokerage, work with antique values, and talent search agencies.

Astrologically, the key word for this sign among the Greeks was “skiamachia” – fighting with shadows. A typical Cancer is rarely satisfied with their personal life.

The result is internal conflict and unfounded suspicions, which create stress and physical disorders: nervous dyspepsia, cancer, gastritis, stomach disorders, poor cleansing.

Many, if not all, of these diseases can be avoided by cultivating opposite emotions: trust in others instead of suspicion, optimism and cheerfulness instead of worries and dark forebodings, and forgiveness instead of dissatisfaction.

To enjoy good health and experience a sense of satisfaction, Cancer needs to limit the influence of the Moon to one or two types of creative activity.

For example, Cancerians born in the first decade of their period are particularly talented in dramatic art and poetry. Although Cancer is considered one of the weakest signs of the Zodiac (the second being Pisces), if the Sun was in a favorable position (rising or zenith) at the time of birth, it strengthens the physical constitution and gives vitality, increases resistance to diseases and the power of recovery.

The influence of the Moon is felt more keenly in infancy than in mature age. However, if the horoscope does not intersect with other planets, lunar cycles are reflected in the course of diseases and critical days of weakness throughout life.

Due to personal disappointments, offenses, and anxieties, Cancer may try to drown his sadness in alcohol. Such an escape from feelings will only lead him to even greater emotional distress and a painful state.

The position of the Moon at the time of birth largely determines which weaknesses and strengths of Cancer will be decisive in his life. However, it can be taken as a rule that reduced viability due to emotional shocks and weak mental state is a characteristic pathological sign of this sign.
